Jared Anderson: Making Waves as he Moves from College to the Pro’s

Completed

Fueling Jared Anderson

$685 of $1,500

Jared Anderson’s love of swimming shows in every way. After completing a successful career at the University of Minnesota, the native of the state knew that he had more to accomplish. Despite being a Minnesota State Champion and standout for the Golden Gophers, Jared amazingly did not start swimming year around until he was in college. After excelling at Minnesota’s Division I swimming program, Jared knew he wanted to keep going. Now training year round, Jared has his eyes set on the U.S. Nationals with the goal of qualifying to represent the United States in international competition. In the meantime, Jared has combined his love of the sport with his passion for writing: in full disclosure, Jared has profiled Dreamfuel for wildly popular swimming news website SwimSwam. The Dreamfuel team was thrilled to find out that Jared is not only still training while pursuing his journalism career but that he has his sights set on the U.S. Nationals this summer. Jared is turning to the Dreamfuel community as well as his friends, family, teammates, and supporters to help him get there. Join Jared in his journey to help him race at the prestigious Santa Clara Grand Prix on his road to the U.S. Nationals in Irvine, California.

50% of all funds raised over the goal will go towards swim camps Jared and his brother Trent are hosting to raise funds to build a freshwater well for those in need in El Salvador. El Salvador is a country near to the Andersons' hearts as Trent went there on a missions trip while Jared, unable to miss training long enough to make the trip, wanted to find his own way to help with the area's tremendous need for fresh water and school supplies.
